Biografie van Dennie Christian
Sommige mensen behouden ook als ze ouder worden een soort innerlijke jeugd, die het hun mogelijk maakt, in hun doen en laten flexibel en sprankelend van geest te blijven. Mensen, bij wie de jaren geen sporen achterlaten. Dennie Christian is zon mens.
Fanclubmeeting 1998 in WardenburgDe inmiddels 53-jarige had in de afgelopen 35 jaar zowel in Duitsland als ook in de Benelux groot succes als radio- en TV-presentator, als presentator van het Schlagerfestival en als zanger. Tot op heden heeft de in Bensberg geboren zanger ontelbare albums en singles uitgebracht en daarmee een platina en ettelijke gouden elpees verdiend.
Hij straalt nog steeds dezelfde charme en energie uit als in 1973, toen hij met Rosamunde de eerste superhit scoorde.
Maar ook op een ander gebied heeft Dennie Christian een verbazingwekkend talent. Spelenderwijs lukt het hem om zijn positieve levensinstelling, zijn plezier in de omgang met mensen en de liefde voor Duitstalige muziek op het publiek over te brengen.
Door hem werd het Schlagerfestival, dat hij sinds 1982 presenteert, tot een van de grootste en meest succesvolle shows in dit genre. Hij presenteerde in de jaren 80 en 90 een wekelijks programma op de Nederlandse radio en het RTL-TV-programma Musikcafe.
Ondanks zijn succes is de sympathieke krullenkop met beide benen op de grond gebleven. Voor zijn buren in zijn woonplaats Wardenburg (bij Oldenburg) is Dennie Christian die aardige vent van hiernaast. Nog steeds.
Hoewel hij door zijn vele verplichtingen niet veel vrije tijd met zijn gezin kan doorbrengen, kan Dennie Christian het zingen echter gewoonweg niet laten!
